Asia- Promised Land

Meeting with Wojciech Giełżyński and Jerzy Surdykowski was organized on the 31 March 2009 in cooperation with „ZNAK".

• Wojciech Giełżyński 

Wojciech Giełżyński is a well- known Polish reporter and an expert on Asian Affairs. He set off for his first journey to Asia half a century ago and since then he keeps coming back. Wojciech Giełżyński used to be a correspondent for Polish press during the Islam Revolution in Iran (1979) and the Tiananmen Square massacre of 1989. He is the author of numerous books on the Third World and Asia. Most famous include: „Inne światy, inne drogi", „Rewolucja w imię Allacha".

• Jerzy Surdykowski

Jerzy Surdykowski is a writer, journalist and a diplomat, who used to hold the office of Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York City and the Ambassador to Thailand, Philippines and Burma. Jerzy Surdykowski is the author of philosophical essays and a book titled "S.O.S", which was published in 2005. He also regularly writes for "ZNAK".
