Live in a creative way. Become a MATH.e-MANIAC

MATH.e-MANIAC has already started!

Since August 2010 we have been implementing the TEU project „Live in a creative way. Become a MATH.e-MANIAC".

The project's aim is initiating changes in the system of teaching the young from gymnasia and high schools, the strict subjects (mathematics, IT and enterprise).

We are sure that pupils in Polish schools will not only like the subjects mentioned above, but also will readily join their future with them by choosing engineering and economic faculties during their studies. That is why we have prepared modern and effective model of teaching these fields of knowledge.

With the suport of scientists, teachers and pupils who were directly engaged in the project, and drawing on the Finish experience (cooperation with the University in Helsinki), we will create the Kompleksowy Model Kształtowania Kompetencji Kluczowych (the Complex Model of Shaping Key Competences) which will include:

• the system of diagnosing 3 key competences
• the system of monitoring competences' development
• the system of pupils' motivation
• modern teaching aids attractive for the young.

In general, we will examine, observe and raise the spirit of pupils, using e.g. strategic games, blogs, e-learnings, trips, quizes and unconventional lessons' scenarios.

We are full of optymizm as far as the effects of our activities are concerned, especially because of the fact that we have been appreciated in the very beginning of our work by the Ministry of National Education which recognized the project as the most valuable among all the PO KL (Human Capital Operational Programme) innovation projects in the 2007-2013 period.
