A group of TEU students participated in the seminar organised by the Akademie Mitteleuropa (Bad Kissingen, Germany). The seminar was aimed at answering the question: “What global influence does the death of John Paul II and the election of Benedict XVI have?”.
Students from TEU were invited to the seminar, which was organised by the Akademie Mitteleuropa in Bad Kissingen. A group of 22 students attended. The aims of the seminar were to allow students to reflect upon the global importance and the papal roles of John Paul II and Benedict XVI, the comparison between German and Polish views of the pontificate of the Polish Pope and his German successor, the initialisation of a dialogue between Catholics and Evangelists, and a social analysis of the meaning and condition of Christianity in both countries.
Participants in the seminar had the chance to hear some interesting lectures by German professors and the discuss, in international groups, the current religious situation in Europe. TEU students in addition visited Fulda and Bamberg.
