Specialisation Courses (selected)

  • Foreign Languages Didactics – the course aim is to familiarise students with the basic issues of teaching English language as a foreign language (among others: lesson planning, materials introduction, e-learning). The classes will be led as practical workshops – ‘microteaching’. It will enable students to combine the theoretical knowledge with the practical skills used during lessons. 
  • Pedagogy – introduction to issues of pedagogy as a scientific field and education, learning, self-education issues as a crucial part of pedagogical cognition. Fields of education (moral, cognitive, esthetic, health education); modern pedagogical tendencies and current education problems are going to be discussed.
  • Psychology – the course aims at passing on the students the pedagogical knowledge useful in being a teacher. The seminars touch up the matters of developmental, social, personality psychology as well as psychopathology and psychotherapy.
  • Vocal Pedagogy –  the course aims at building among the students the awareness of meaning and elements of verbal communication. It will also focus on gaining clarity of speech, proper breathing, usage of pauses and intonation and also understanding rules of vocal hygiene.
